I am writing this mail to you With due respect trust and humanity, I appeal to you to exercise a little patience and read through my letter I feel quite safe dealing with you in this important business, I have a business of $12.5 Million dollars to be transfer to your account for investment in your country if you are ready to assist me get back to me i will give you full details on how the money will be transfer to you.

You must assure me that everything will be handled confidentially because we are not going to suffer again in life. It has been 10 years now that most of the greedy African Politicians used our Bank to launder money overseas through the help of their Political advisers. Most of the funds which they transferred out of the shores of Africa were gold and oil money that was supposed to have been used to develop the continent.

Their Political advisers always inflated the amounts before transfer to foreign accounts so I also used the opportunity to divert part of the funds hence I am aware that there is no official trace of how much was transferred as all the accounts used for such transfers were being closed after transfer. I acted as the Account Officer to most of the politicians and when I discovered that they were using me to succeed in their greedy act, I also cleaned some of their Banking records from the Bank files and no one cared to ask me because the money was too much for them to control.

They laundered over $580 million Dollars during the process .As I am sending this message to you; I was able to divert ($12.5 M) to an escrow account belonging to no one in the Bank. The bank is anxious now to know who the beneficiary to the funds is because they have made a lot of profits with the funds. It is more than Eight years now and most of the politicians are no longer using our Bank to transfer funds overseas. The $12.5 Million Dollars has been laying waste but I don't want to retire from the Bank without transferring the funds to a foreign account to enable me share the proceeds with the receiver.

This fund will be shared between us in the ratio of 50% for me and 40% for you. While 10% for any incurable expenses that will come during the transfer, there is no one coming to ask you about the funds because I secured everything if you're willing to handle this deal with me kindly get back to me with the following. Service learning provided me with the experience of caring for the less fortunate. It exposed me to the other side of society and showed me that not everyone can help themselves. Some people in Singapore actually require assistance from others and this experience has provided me the excellent opportunity to lend them a helping hand. It is a kindness and, in fact, our duty to help fellow Singaporeans in need. I learnt that we had to give these people as much aid as we could. It also changed the way I look at things, made me see through a different perspective and made me realize that we have to appreciate the gifts we have received in life. I have started helping people more as a result of this experience.

The best thing that happened during the experience was interacting with the people affected by the syndrome. I realized that they needed the help. They were friendly and cheerful all the time, making the general atmosphere pleasant. However i also felt a twinge of sadness as i knew that they could never be fully normal. This was why we had to help them. We helped them sort out and arrange their books in the bookstore they had. This experience taught me to be more selfless, to give rather than to take and to not look down on others. By helping these people  at the Down's Syndrome Association (DSA) out it made me feel happy as I was helping someone else for a change.

In my college and adult years I will definitely try my very best to stay involved in the community. Although I may not have enough time on my hands at that point in my life, I will still try to devote as much free time as I have to the community. This is because I believe that the community is important and I know that I will still be involved in the community in the later stages of my life. I would also encourage my family and friends  to get involved in the community as well.

Personally, this service-learning has been a ride for me. To be able to visit and personally experience what it is like for the less-fortunate, it is really an eye opener. In school, many of us are rather well-to-do and we often take simple things, such as books and clothes for granted. Through this journey, I have learnt to step in their shoes, and begin to appreciate the little, yet significant, things in life. Towards others, I feel that we need to show more respect one another. We are born in different ways and come from different backgrounds in school,  but we should learn to appreciate one another's differences in order to mature in our youth. 

The best part was the sale of ice creams to the school population to raise funds for the Down Syndrome Association (DSA). We went around, collecting orders from the various classes. It was fun, yet worthwhile as I felt that it was a part to play in serving the community. Many people bought the ice creams, we had fun selling them, as well!

In my adulthood, I would certainly volunteer my services to help the community. As Singaporeans, it is only right that we help one another, especially the less fortunate. i would encourage friends and family to take up community services as well. Simple, yet impactful deeds, can really change a person's life in ways you might have never imagined.

1)     How has the service-learning experience changed my thinking, attitudes, and actions towards others, myself and the community?

     1) This experience taught me the importance of caring for the less fortunate and giving back to society. By visiting the Down Syndrome Association (DSA), I learnt that there are many poor people who struggle to make ends meet and that it is a duty of mine to care for them, to aid them as much as possible.
 
     2) What stands out as the best or worst thing that happened to you in your service learning experience? What did you learn from these experiences?
The best thing that happened was when my friends and I bonded together by packing books systematically for them. Although there were hundreds of book to organize in a short duration of time, our teamwork overcame the odds and we accomplished packing all the books on time neatly. Although it seemed like a simple task, my classmates and I have truly bonded through this activity and are better friends now. We learnt the importance of teamwork and cooperation to achieve greater heights.
 
      3)Do you see yourself staying involved in the community during your college and adult years? Why or why not?
I intend to stay involved in the community during my college and adult years. Helping out in the community is everyone's job. It merely takes a few hours per week to help out but the results of hard work will be paid off. Thus, helping out in the community can be done in my free time after I grow older.

For my service learning, I had went to the Down Syndrome Association to help those unfortunate people in their Thrift Shop. I had helped clear and organised their items such as books and magazines. After my service learning, i realised that there are more unfortunate people living out there but yet they are still living happily and well. Therefore, it makes me feel that any small problems or issues that happen in my life, i should not give up easily and continue to strive for the best. During my service learning, other than feeling good by helping less fortunate people, I also get the chance to do hands-on works with my friends which would improve our relationships and the team spirit of the class. In future, if I have the chance to do more of this kind of service learning that will help the community, I would definitely lend a helping hand to help the less fortunate people. The smiles on their faces is already enough to express their gratitude towards us and I would hope that everyone in the same community can always have a smile on their face.

  As a whole, service learning had helped me to become someone who appreciates life more than before as I had saw that from these down syndrome people that life is fragile and precious and every second of it is priceless. Seeing those down syndrome people straining themselves to pick up new skills even thought they are mentally decapitated makes me feel that I am very lazy and it motivated me to strive for straight As for my 8 subjects. I had also became a more helpful person as I felt joy and pride helping for a good cause and want to recapture that feeling and assist others in the process.
 
  For me, the worst thing that I experienced during service learning is when it is time to stop work and head home. Ihad felt that helping others is a joy and furthermore, helping out together with friends also helps strengthen bonds. I had also grown to like those down syndrome people and had made friends with them. Hence leaving was quite saddening as I had to leave my newfound friends and I also felt that helping others not only brings joy to others but myself!
From this experience I had learnt that all good things have to come to an end and I had come to terms with it. I hope that I can do more service learning in the future.
 
  I can surely see myself being immersed in community work in the future as it destresses and helps to bring joy to others and myself. If I have free time, I would do some community work so that I can meet more people and make more friends. Therefore, in conclusion I will surely do community work in the future if I have time and would definitely persuade my friends to get involved in the community:)

Through service learning, I understand that there are many people out there in this society that requires our attention and help. Although some of us may whine about the immense pressure on us due to the tons of homework given to us by our teachers, I feel that it is really fortunate of us to be able to be born with normal intelligence and normal. We should not take things that are always present around us for granted. There are times where others may not be as privilege as us. Besides that, I also feel that helping others in need is what all Singaporeans should do. 

The best thing during service learning was the sale of the ice creams. As there were leftover ice-cream, some of us went around the canteen and asked students to help to purchase the ice-cream. Although some of them refused to purchase the ice-creams, I feel that the time and effort spent on the sale of the ice-creams were all worthwhile. Spending time to help the society is definitely not a waste of time!

I feel that helping others come deep from the heart. As long as you have the determination to help others,  age will not be a factor. Hence, it is only right to contribute to the society when you are working or studying in a Junior college. Help should always be present to those who requires help. The happiness gained from helping someone is far more satisfying than that of winning a game against your friend. Therefore, its never too late nor too early to contribute to the society.

This service learning expirience has made me realise that not everyone in the world is blessed with the blissful lives that we are living. Even in Singapore's developed society, there are still people that are less fortunate. I am now much more willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.
The best thing that happened to me in this service learning is to be able to take part in the sales of ice-creams to collect funds for the Down Syndrome Association. Our class all came together to help out in duties like taking orders, packaging, giving out the ice-creams and even eating them. I myself too part in the taking of the orders and also the distribution of the ice-creams. However, the worst thing that i experienced in the Service Learning was being unable to be physically present at the Down Syndrome Association to help out there due to CCA activities and course. I would really want to go to the Down Syndrome Association to help out.
I believe that i would stay involved in the community as i grow up as i find that it is very meaningful and I find that helping people in need is a privilage.

Service learning has been a life changing experience for me. I am grateful to have this oppurtunity to be able to participate in this enjoyable event. This experience has taught many values and also bonded me and my class closer together. One of the values was that i was able to really step into the society and stretch out my helping hand to those in need. Now, i have really found out what it is like in this society. I also tell myself to always remember to be part of the society, pulling people around us closer, to form a warmer society, in hope of a better tomorrow.

Now, at an age of 15, i am given the chance to take part in this meaningful event, marks the path ahead for me to continue this journey, helping others in need in the society. I am sure that in my further years of life, this service-learning experience would leave a mark in my memory, encouraging me and pushing me on to continue helping others in need. I will always remember that even though my sole effort may seem small, but everything starts small. I will play my part in the society and do the utmost best i can.

in our society, there are people less fortunate then us, and need help in things
we take for granted. It is our job, to help these people in need. While collecting
funds for the DSA, we had a enjoyably time together as a class. Although what we did
for them is very little, this opportunity to helped us to learn how to be compassioate and
understand the needs of others. I will be looking forward to more community service to constantly contribute

Dear Teacher, This is my reflection (in italics): For service-learning I went to the downs syndrome associations center to help them. I helped them arrange books for sale, repackage them for sale and rearrange their storeroom in an orderly fashion. Doing something for a charitable organization made me feel good. I was happy to be able to help people who are in need. The act of doing something for the society reinforced the idea that everybody should help each other and support one another. It also taught me to appreciate my life and help those who are not as fortunate. By helping out in selling the ice cream it was made clear that business too can be used for doing the right things and obtaining money from the more fortunate for the less fortunate, legally. After service-learning I think that the attitude of everyone may have changed a little as everybody subconsciously respected those who carried out the acts of charity. The community work helped to instill the values of community service , deeper, into us. The community service was a fulfilling activity. Seeing the smiles on the faces of those who we helped is utmost satisfactory and I think that I will continue serving the community for the rest of my life. More emphasis should be placed on community service as compared to other co curricular activities. Service of the community should be integral part of everyones life. I truly believe that this character development education project is a very enriching experience. At first after watching videos of the needy, I only pitied people who were slightly unfortunate compared to myself, and then forget about it in time to come. However, this wonderful life experience has opened my eyes to the world, at least a new part of it. The memory images of me whilst assisting in this activities, organising books and such, still flash by my mind frame to frame as though they happened not too long ago. This left me in deep thought, on how I should cherish my current lifestyle and appreciate every privilege that was given to me with gratitude. Furthermore, after seeing how such trivial things our class did made a big difference for the people over at the Down Syndrome Association (DSA), I can now believe that every little contribution made towards the less fortunate means a great deal of help for them.

Worst things? I am glad to say that this trip to the DSA is by no means anything complicated, hateful, physically-taxing or time-exhausting. This eye opener has brought to me only the best of memories as our class, 3G, worked hand in hand, to not only make our visit a short one, but also a very enjoyable one as well. If there were any last regrets about this, it is that this session has come to an end. I wish for another opportunity to engage in such heart-warming activities that can not only bring joy to others, but also exercise our class cooperation skills and deepen our class bonding. I believe that I have not only learnt some physical skills, such as arranging items which I rarely have the chance to do so at home, but also learnt skills that can be taken along with me even up to the point I become an adult. Such skills include: Perseverance (When thinking of giving up, remember that you could always move another step while doing so), Charity/Considerate (One small bit of effort can make a whole difference/Extend a hand, expect a smile), teamwork (One pair of hands can only produce this much, but with a few more extra, the production and efficiency can be multiplied by thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much) and the such.

I believe I can continue to see myself engaging in such meaningful events in college and even in adulthood. I mean, why not? I sincerely believe my efforts were not in vain. It may not benefit me monetarily, but it does so right here in my heart. As they say, happiness is infectious and one can never have enough of it. Thus, helping others might actually reversely result in others helping me in more ways than one. I believe that this is a thought that would remain embedded deeply into me even if years go by, that is why I believe that I would still engage similar activities in the near future. Life is a journey, and this is what makes the journey so exciting and purposeful.

I feel that helping out in Service Learning is a good intention and that anyone can do it too. Declining in helping out for service learning with reasons like "I am busy" or "lazy to help out" is not a good reason. Each action and kindness towards them help bit by bit and it makes you feel happy too when they success. 

The helping out of selling the ice-cream and the profit all goes to them. I enjoyed myself as I can feel that with each action I am doing now can help them in the future. 

I learn that helping them out does not mean to go only in one method but many other methods in helping them. It do not really have to go with donation only, but you can help them out personally in their shops. Yes. I feel that helping people that are less fortunate, be it poor or down syndrome, is a good mindset and there are no harm in doing. More people in the society can be happy and can live a much more stable life thanks to each small actions done.

Service learning has let me learn more about the community, about the difficulties the less fortunate face. It has made me more willing to lend a helping hand to others in need. The best thing that happened to me during the experience was during the ice cream sale, where the whole class got together to make sure everything flowed smoothly, strengthening the bonds in the class. The worst thing that happened to me was being unable to personally go to the Down Syndrome Association as I was busy with CCA at that time, thus being unable to personally help out the less fortunate. I am willing to continue thus community involvement during my college and adult years as this community involvement is very meaningful and has taught me many moral values that are vital in society.

After going through the service-learning experience at the thrift shop owned by the Down Syndrome Association, I have learnt to be more helpful and understanding towards others. This experience also allow me to improve my patience when helping people. Also, helping out at the Down Syndrom Association let me realised how fortunate I am to be able to lend a helping hand to others. The best thing that happened throughout the service-learning was helping to raise funds for the thrift shop by selling 'Kings' ice-cream to the entire school. We had to collect orders from the teachers of each class and collect the money from them when we delivered the ice-creams. This experience let me learnt that teamwork is essential to complete tasks that requires the whole class to do it together. Also, I have learnt to listen instructions properly before carrying out my task to prevent miscommunications during the fund-raising. Upon completion of the service-learning experience, I see myself staying involved in the community during my college and adult years as there are many people out there who needs help. To me, it may be a small favour I am doing for the ones who needs help but to them, it can be a really big favour that I have just helped them accomplished.
